BIOGRAPHY
Michael, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor since 2007, joined the counseling department in August of 2015. Michael received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brescia University and a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Eastern Kentucky University.
Michael has a diverse clinical background, with experience as a Bereavement Counselor through Hospice Care, providing counseling with individuals in substance abuse recovery at the Hope Center, as a school counselor in high schools, and as a team leader and clinical supervisor with KVC Kentucky providing in-home family therapy. Michael also served as Counselor-In-Residence with the Governor鈥檚 School for the Arts, and as faculty with the Governor鈥檚 Scholars Program.
Michael has experience with a variety of therapeutic interventions including participating in training and supervision in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy through the Beck Institute, Trauma Focused CBT, and is an EMDR therapist. Michael is also a QPR suicide prevention trainer.
